This is a game that brings WWII to life.

From the way that the boats look in the water to the way that the soldiers interact with each other, it's like taking a step back in time to see the events of WWII taking place. There are several tasks to complete as a single player as well as tasks that are better for multiple players. The Western Front Armies gather together to do battle against the enemy who is invading from the sea in most cases. There is a map to make it easier to see where people are coming from so that you have a better chance of defeating those who are against you. It also gives you a way to see where your soldiers are located.

Even though it's a game that depicts action that took place during the war, there are a few different weapons to choose from, most being various types of guns. You want to try to stay as low to the ground as possible during combat so that you're not seen. There are a few moments in the game that give a close view of the enemy and some of the pain that soldiers experience when they are defeated. There aren't really any missions to complete to advance to another level. It's more of an open game where you do battle either alone or with others. It does give a bit of history about the war at times if you pay attention.
